Hi everyone!

Lots of people asked me things about my dolls or dolls in general, so I think I should start à little FAQ for those who are interested in ABJD. I'll try to upload it when people ask me new questions

First of all, let me talk about a wonderful forum about this hoby : Den of Angel [link] . They have endless resources, I spend a lot of time on it and enjoy looking for all of these wonderful dolls... I also post most of my photoshoots on it (You won't find me as "coeurvert", my nickname is "Anzukami" anyway).


1 - Do you make your dolls ? What kind of dolls are those ?

First, those dolls all called dollfies, BJD or ABJD which mean Asian ball Jointed dolls. They are made with resin, and you can customise them (I mean, a lot).

For example, you can remove the eyes of your doll or just move them, they often look like marbles and you put it inside the eyeholds with putty. You can also remove their hair, because it's just a wig (like human wigs), and paint them (they're all blank when you buy them, unless you ask the company to make a faceup for you). When you fed up with the faceup, just remove it and redo it! x3 And as you can see on my pictures, you can buy them clothes and acessoiries, or make it yourself.

Finally, I do not make them, I'm not talented enough to make my own doll =3 I just customise and take a lot of pictures of them.

2 - Where did you buy your dolls ?

At the moment I have 3 dolls :

Lyov - Nia from Crobidoll [link]
Sen - Sian from Dollcatch [link]
Avalon - Abadon Blue Knight Commander from Luts [link] (His head is a limited head. If you want it, you must buy it second hand now.)

To help you to find your doll, you can also search on Ebay and on the Den of Angels marketplace (it's all secondhand).

3 - How much are they ?

My most expensive doll will be Avalon when I'll get his body this winter. The whole doll will be around $600. And the least expensive is Sen, less than $300. Yeah, it's expensive, but I don't buy doll a week. I saved up around 3 years to buy my first doll. Some people love tuning their car, other are fond of scale model... Maybe you like buying expensive shoes. I don't.

4 - Who are you on other sites/forums... ?

I'm Anzukami most of the time. Coeurvert is a very old nickname.

What camera do you use ?

I use a Nikon D50 with a 18mm/50mm or a 50mm/200mm. I mostly take all my photo in a natural light (no artificial light because I don't like it at all).

Do you edit your photo ?

Yes, I always do it. I love post-processing and playing with light, contrast and colors. They might not always need it, I just like doing it

Can I draw your doll/character ?

Of course, I love seeing other people point of view of my characters
